A one-year-old boy died in a serious traffic accident near Bad Neustadt an der Saale (Rhoen-Grabfeld district) on Thursday. The toddler was first flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter, said a police spokesman in Würzburg. He spoke of “severe injuries”. In the afternoon, the police reported the death of the child.
A 34-year-old driver drove her car into oncoming traffic and collided with the car of a 32-year-old. She had her one-year-old son in the vehicle. The mother was also seriously injured. An expert was called in to clarify the cause of the accident, the police said.
