Oberschleißheim is on the way to the “fair trade community”. At the beginning of the year, Mayor Markus Böck (CSU) welcomed the restaurateurs Verna Hofmann from the Café zum Schloss and Gerhart Maier from the Hotel Blauer Karpfen as part of the project; Both companies have included fair trade products in their range and want to integrate more. Certification as a Fairtrade municipality requires the involvement of commercial enterprises, restaurateurs and other institutions. The project is also supported by the Oberschleißheim Tourist Association, which also offers fair trade products in the tourist office.
