Oberschleißheim – Kripo determined after oil pollution – District of Munich

After the two cases of water pollution at the end of July and beginning of August in Oberschleißheim, the criminal police have now taken over the investigation. On July 24th, chemicals discharged into the sewerage system contaminated the sewage treatment plant. The oil-containing substance was a carbon compound (diester). The damage was limited, as the sewage works reacted immediately and the substance could be removed from the basin. On August 6, an oil film drifted in the Berglbach between Pechweiher and Mittenheimer Weiher over a length of about three kilometers, whereupon the local fire brigade and the district’s ABC train set up oil barriers. It was Diesel, as we now know. Possible witnesses should report to the Oberschleissheim police (phone: 089/31 56 40).
