On November 4, 2011, right-wing extremists Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Böhnhardt shot themselves in their mobile home after a failed bank robbery in Eisenach. A short time later, her accomplice Beate Zschäpe let the last hiding place of the “National Socialist Underground” (NSU) go up in flames in Zwickau. During her escape, she sent out DVDs on which the terrorist group cynically confessed to the murders of nine migrant traders and one policewoman. A conversation with the mayor of Zwickau about this dark chapter in her city.
