The new episode of the ARD crime series “Nord bei Nordwest” leads the viewer into human abysses. While a cunning gang abuses dogs as drug couriers, Hauke snacks on Jacobs hash biscuits.

In the new episode of the crime series “Nord bei Nordwest” the tolerance of the viewers is badly strained: A gang smuggles drugs from Poland to Germany – and uses cuddly four-legged friends from a boarding house as couriers. For a dog, this transport ends fatally.

It goes without saying that part-time veterinarian and full-time animal lover Hauke Jacobs (Hinnerk Schönemann) takes care of the matter. He’s a full-time commissioner. But before he can throw himself into the investigation, the coveted bachelor first tastes hash biscuits and has a hilarious phone call with veterinarian Jule Christiansen (Marleen Lohse), during which he is about to make an intimate confession to her under the influence of the drugs when she drifts away . Jacobs’ colleague Hannah Wagner (Jana Klinge) gets wind of the love whisper – and is little amused.

“North by Northwest”: Also people among the dead

A drug-consuming inspector and abused dogs – the viewers of the otherwise homely crime series are expected to do a lot this time. It hardly matters that there is also a human corpse: the well-known dog enemy Frank Schuster is found dead in his apartment. Jacobs and Wagner therefore stop by Kai Schwarz’s (Uke Bosse) kennel.

And indeed it seems to have something to do with the dog couriers. How all this is connected and what this has to do with donations for sick children – all this is brought to light in the course of 90 minutes.

In the end, the case was solved, but Hauke Jacobs didn’t get any further privately: he sat on his houseboat with the freed dogs, while the two competitors Hannah Wagner and Jule Christiansen watched each other. At least they find something that all three can agree on.

ARD will show “Nord bei Nordwest – Wilde Hunde” on Thursday, January 20 at 8:15 p.m. There are older episodes of the crime series in the ARD media library
