They love each other, but just can’t get it over their lips: In the new episode of “Nord bei Nordwest” Hauke Jacobs and Jule Christiansen continue to sneak around each other. This time, too, the bachelor finds no salvation.

Last week, Hauke Jacobs made a wonderful compliment to his colleague: “When she performs, everything becomes a little brighter,” he said of Jule Christiansen (Marleen Lohse). She returned the favor in her own, always somewhat clumsy way: “He’s funny – in his own way. He always has two dimples when he laughs,” says the veterinarian to a woman who has applied for the assistant’s position in the practice and inquired about her future boss. “He will never lie to her,” Christiansen continues.

She herself, on the other hand, does not always take the truth so seriously. The applicant would like to know whether the man is married. Then it suddenly dawned on the veterinarian that she was bringing competition into the house with her assistant. And so she resorts to a shameless lie: “Yes, he is very happily married,” is the answer.

“Nord bei Nordwest”: It’s also about feelings

But anyway, the whole idea with the job posting is doomed to fail from the start. Christiansen is looking for an assistant to relieve Jacobs. In turn, he is looking for a man to relieve Christiansen. Both keep it a secret from the other. Above all, they don’t really want to bring anyone else into their practice: the two of them feel extremely comfortable in their togetherness.

The applicants are correspondingly annoyed by the confusion that has arisen from the unspoken feelings. The frustrated assistant puts it in a nutshell: “Do you know what you both need? Not an assistant, but a therapist,” says the woman – so the not-so-secret lovers stayed behind.

In a Hollywood film there would now be the long overdue kiss and end, over, end. But “Nord bei Nordwest” has to go on – around eight million viewers want it that way. And so Hannah Wagner (Jana Klinge) bursts in just in time and prevents the couple from becoming a couple.

In the end it becomes clear that the policewoman herself still has ambitions for the attractive bachelor. Then she tries to kiss her colleague. But balancing justice: This time it’s Jule Christiansen who shows up at the last moment and destroys the romance of the moment. Hauke Jacobs remains unkissed – and the spectators are still waiting to see which port he will enter.
