How do you bring knowledge to the child? The scientifically based, sometimes complex knowledge, especially in times of dwindling reading skills among young people, who are said to have ever shorter attention spans. And in which the longing for simple answers grows ever greater. When answering this question, children’s book publishers have for some time now reliably turned to comics, the graphic novel as a form for non-fiction books. They are easily accessible, but still offer room for complexity without having to wade through page after page of a word-heavy popular science non-fiction book.
