Once you have managed the steps up to the Gasteig roof, a very special sight and view opens up. Anyone familiar with the roof garden on the multi-storey car park between the main train station and Stachus feels as if they are entering the next level. There is a light wind up here, the sounds of the city can only be heard muffled. Paths, benches, beds and bars made of wooden planks nestle against the brick building; the darker planks are from the days of the parking garage. Above it are fairy lights and sun sails, in between plants, lavender, bamboo, mint, now and then one of the window pyramids protrudes from the Gasteig building, after dark they should be indirectly illuminated.
