Under the motto “One for all”, a mobile, barrier-free toilet wagon is available for events in the Ebersberg district from now on. Organizers no longer have to think about renting a barrier-free toilet, it is included in the car. This is exactly what the members of the responsible social committee in the district council wanted in their unanimous decision to subsidize the Steinhöring facility for the purchase of a mobile, barrier-free toilet with 25,000 euros. “Inclusion often fails because of small hurdles that are barely visible to people without disabilities. Breaking down these barriers and enabling every citizen to participate is a task for all of us,” says District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß.
Thanks to the support of the Sparkassenstiftung and the resources of the Steinhöring facility association, this joint project was able to be implemented. MS-Verleih in Steinhöring has taken over the management of the mobile, barrier-free toilet. In the future, organizers can rent the toilet trolley at [email protected]. The purchase of the mobile, barrier-free toilet is a first step. Now it has to be used. The district administrator and the general manager of the Steinhöring facility association, Gertrud Hanslmeier-Prockl, therefore appeal to all organizers and municipalities in the district to take advantage of this offer.
