New Drug Delivery Promises Better Quality of Life in Parkinson’s Health

Many people perceive Parkinson’s as a disease of old people, who then primarily tremble. In fact, those affected are on average 62 years old when they are first diagnosed, which means they are often still of working age. And at least ten percent of those affected are under 50 at the onset. Parkinson’s is the neurodegenerative disease with the highest increase in those affected worldwide, and it is also the most common after dementia. Around ten million people are affected worldwide, 20,000 to 30,000 in Austria.
