Neubiberg: Truck parking ban on Hohenbrunner Strasse – district of Munich

Signs and a restricted area are intended to prevent trucks from being parked on Hohenbrunner Strasse in Neubiberg and obstructing traffic. The building and transport committee has now decided. Residents have recently observed again and again that trucks and trailers are parked in the parallel parking bays and on the western side of the street for a longer period of time near the Abloner Garten. When cars and especially larger vehicles such as garbage trucks meet there, it often gets tight there. Together with Police Inspectorate 28 in Ottobrunn, the town hall has therefore been looking for ways to defuse the situation, as stated in the resolution submitted to the committee. Specifically, signs should now indicate at the parallel parking bays that only cars may be parked there. Traffic surveillance is to monitor compliance with this rule. In addition, an approximately 20-metre-long restricted area is to be marked on the western side of the street to prevent parking and thus create an alternative area for oncoming traffic. The measures should initially apply for a test period until August 2023, as the new head of the building authority, Bettina Riegg, announced.
