NBA transfers: Rudy Gobert sent by Utah to Minnesota

Thunderbolt in the NBA. Nine years after joining the Utah Jazz from Cholet Basket, Rudy Gobert will play under new colors, as revealed Adrian Wojnarowski, the ESPN journalist, this Friday evening. The franchise, coached by neophyte Will Hardy, has made the decision to let the 30-year-old French international pivot go to Minnesota. After another failure in the first round of the play-offs last spring, the Jazz decided on the spot.

But as ESPN pointed out, the Jazz will pick up Patrick Beverley, Malik Beasley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Bolmaro as well as four first-round draft picks (2023, 2025, 2027 unprotected, 2029 protected top 5) in return. With the Timberwolves, who stopped short of the last conference semi-finals, Rudy Gobert will form an intriguing inner pair with Karl-Anthony Towns.
