Taylor Swift has never been to Buenos Aires. Some fans have been waiting for their first concert in the Argentine capital for months: in a tent – right in front of the entrance to the stadium.

Numerous fans of Popstar Taylor Swift have been waiting for months in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires for this moment in which the singer will perform in the South American country for the first time.

“We’ve been camping here for five months,” said one of the “Swifties,” as the American singer’s fans are called. The 33-year-old (“Shake It Off”) will perform for three days at the Estadio Monumental in the capital from November 9th as part of her world tour “The Eras Tour”. Around 250,000 fans are expected at the three performances.

As close to the stage as possible

“We are a group of 30 people and have been taking turns in our tent ever since,” said the young woman. Next to her there were also a few other tents at the point where the queue for the concert begins today. With their campaign they hope to get one of the front seats in front of the stage. Because most campers have normal entrance tickets for the interior and the rule is first come, first served. Depending on the band or artist, this front area is also sold separately.

There were different ticket options at different prices for the Swift concert. A VIP package that allows first entry into the stadium cost up to 175,000 pesos – which corresponds to around 470 euros at the official rate. Other fans therefore decided to queue up from the early hours of the morning to try their luck for one of the front seats. Like a young man who came from Chile and wanted to get in line from seven in the morning, as he said.

Also on stage in Germany soon

The pop star recently set several records: At the end of October, Swift became the most streamed act in one day in Spotify history. In addition, her new album “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” became the most streamed album on a single day this year.

The 33-year-old has been on tour since March and, after the USA and a long break, has now started her concerts abroad. Next July she also wants to be on stage in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich.
