Glastonbury is relying on female singers as headliners this time

The festival management is proving its ability to take criticism with this year’s Glastonbury line-up. Audiences at the sold-out festival can look forward to around 3,000 acts – this year with more women.

After criticism of too many male headliners last year, the largest British event is set Glastonbury 2024 music festival focuses primarily on women’s power. British-Albanian singer Dua Lipa, US singer-songwriter SZA and Canadian Shania Twain lead the list of artists who will perform at the multi-day event in southwest England at the end of June. The British band Coldplay will also be there, as the festival management announced.

Around 200,000 visitors are expected to experience around 3,000 acts from June 26th to 30th. The standard tickets, worth 355 pounds (416 euros), sold out within an hour. Last year, among others, Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John played his “last concert” in England.
