Munich: Wirtshaus St. Emmeramsmühle in Oberföhring reopened – Munich

When it came to cycling trips, the northern English Garden suddenly became a dry spell for many last year. The Aumeister was still reliably available. But the other traditional excursion destination, the St. Emmeramsmühle not far from the Oberföhringer dam, was closed at the beginning of March. The then landlord, Karl-Heinz Zacher, threw in the towel in frustration and blamed the energy costs and the general price development. The inn can no longer be operated in a “long-term, sustainable and economical manner”. Since then, the popular and traditional excursion restaurant – the 313-year-old mill has had an inn for almost 200 years – and its beer garden have been closed.
