This impression certainly isn’t easy to get when you’re fighting your way through the crowd at the Viktualienmarkt on Saturdays or looking for a seat in a downtown restaurant at the weekend. So here’s a counter-recipe: go to St.-Jakobs-Platz at blue hour, debate with your companion once again whether the good old city café has lost its urban character over the years (nonsense! says Peffekoven) and enter then the Bar-i-Centro.
