With its premiere in September 2022, the “Superbloom” festival exceeded the expectations of the creators. Instead of the hoped-for 40,000 guests, 50,000 came to the colorful pop potpourri in Munich’s Olympic Park. Now there was also an award at the most important industry meeting: Superbloom won the “European Festival Awards” in the category “Best New Festival” (first 40,000 Internet users cast their votes, then a specialist jury chose the winner).
Festival director Fruzsina Szep, who once won the main prize twice with the “Sziget” festival in Hungary, was extremely grateful at the award ceremony in Groningen in the Netherlands: “What an honor – after a lot of effort and a long period of uncertainty, this award is a winner overwhelming and emotional conclusion for our premiere.” Superbloom was also nominated in two other categories out of 16 – “best line-up” and “best promoter”. You go into the 2023 season with “a lot of confidence” and “stronger”, said Szep. The second “Superbloom” will rise on September 2nd and 3rd, so far artists like Imagine DragonsMartin Garrix, Ellie Goulding and Marteria announced.
