Stephan Alof sometimes rubs his eyes. Even someone who has accompanied hundreds of palliative care patients during their final days and weeks comes up with the topic again and again. Or more and more? Death plays a big role in the life of the 56-year-old intensive care nurse, church councilor and mourner Alof. And for two years he has even been able to draw on his own experiences, at least almost. Because on the night of September 19, 2021, he suddenly felt a lot of pressure in his chest.
