Munich: Party at Orleansplatz is getting out of hand – Munich

The police had to arrive at Orleansplatz with several emergency vehicles on Saturday night to end a party that had gotten out of hand. At around 1.30 a.m. local residents had called the police because around 250 party guests at a bar in Haidhausen were robbing them of their night’s sleep. The patrol officers asked the operator to ensure peace – but this was not done, the noise continued unabated. Around 3:20 a.m., officials found the event was still in full swing and guests were also noisy outside.

The bar operator said he was unable to reassure the guests and indicated that the celebration was probably getting out of hand. That’s why more bands arrived, but the guests, some of whom were heavily intoxicated, were unimpressed and carried on as before. The police officers then issued the guests with space references. However, the revelers only grumbled and after a long discussion. The locally responsible police inspection is now examining further steps against the bar operator, also involving the district administration department of the city of Munich, which is responsible for the concession.
