A twelve-year-old fell in front of an incoming S-Bahn train at Ostbahnhof and was rescued by two passers-by. According to the police, the boy from the Ebersberg district did not notice the train arriving on Wednesday afternoon because he was playing on his mobile phone.
He didn’t even hear the warning whistle that the S-Bahn blew when he crossed the white safety line. At that moment, the child slipped off the edge of the platform. The train braked immediately, but the twelve-year-old trapped his leg between the train and the platform and was dragged along for a few meters.
He hit his head against the train and the platform. Two other travelers noticed the accident and pulled the child back onto the platform. A woman called 911. The boy came to a children’s hospital with suspected broken bones and traumatic brain injury.
