Munich: main route closed due to construction work – Munich

S-Bahn passengers have to be prepared for restrictions again this weekend. Deutsche Bahn (DB) has scheduled a so-called maintenance weekend from Friday, May 13, 10:30 p.m. to Monday, May 16, 4:40 a.m. This means for passengers: Between Pasing and Ostbahnhof, no S-Bahn trains run through the main line, the lines start and end at Ostbahnhof or in Pasing or are diverted above ground to the main station. The S 8 bypasses the main route via the Südring. DB uses buses as a replacement between Pasing and Ostbahnhof. These run every seven minutes on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., otherwise every 10 to 15 minutes.

Several lines of the Munich transport company will also be strengthened. There is a five-minute interval on the U 5 on Saturdays during the day. Bus line 130 runs between Pasing and Westendstraße (U 5). Tram 19 runs every five minutes between Pasing and the main station from around 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and every ten minutes until 12.40 a.m. The following applies to the S-Bahn trains coming from the west: The S 1 runs between Moosach and the main station only every half hour and without intermediate stops. The S 2 runs every half hour and does not stop between Obermenzing and the main station. The S 3, S 4 and S 6 start and end in Pasing, the S 7 starts or ends at the main station and does not stop at Hackerbrücke. The S 8 runs via the Südring and does not stop between Pasing and Ostbahnhof or at the Leuchtenbergring. Details below www.s-bahn-muenchen.de/baustellen.
