The shop around the corner from the Platzl, quite inconspicuous from the outside, was an affair of the heart. Alfons Schuhbeck, the master chef, opened it in 2005 and lived out his greatest passion in it: his love of spices. Schuhbecks Gewürze GmbH had everything: the legendary “sex spice” of course, but also all kinds of curry, spices from fish to roast chicken.
