A 19 year old is in Regensburg was discovered dead in the trunk of a car. The criminal police are investigating. But nothing can yet be said about how the young woman from the Bavarian district of Cham died, said police spokesman Matthias Gröger on Saturday. “We can’t rule anything out at the moment. Investigations are underway in all directions.” However, the situation where they were found points to a violent crime, but suicide is more likely to be ruled out.

According to the police, passers-by reported in the morning that a car with a smashed side window was parked in the underground car park of a hardware store. A patrol then discovered the dead woman in the trunk, said Gröger. The car was registered to the 19-year-old’s parents. It is unclear how long it had been in the underground car park. The young woman was not reported missing.
