Construction work for the second construction phase to extend underground line 5 West to Pasing begins. This is reported by the building department. After the first phase of construction from Laimer Platz to the future Willibaldstrasse station, which has been under construction since January 2022, work is now continuing: digging is going on from Fischer-von-Erlach-Strasse and under the allotment gardens and the sports area in the Westbad area to the street Am Knie and on to Pasing train station. From January 23rd to 28th, “anticipatory measures” are initially planned for the knee. Planned construction time for the U-5 extension: ten years.
