Munich-Au: 20-year-old stabs his brother – Munich

A 20-year-old stabbed his brother, who was two years younger, with a sharp object on Tuesday evening and seriously injured his chest. The 18-year-old is currently in hospital, but according to the police, his life is not in danger. The crime took place at Paulanerplatz in der Au, where the two young men, an employee and a student, live in an apartment with their parents.

The 18-year-old informed the police about his brother’s attack from his landline phone shortly after 10 p.m.; he was also able to leave the apartment building independently. The patrol officers who arrived arrested the 20-year-old in the apartment without resistance and seized several sharp objects that could be used as murder weapons, including knives and decorative weapons.

The 20-year-old should be brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday, who will have to decide on the question of detention and the offense with which the man is ultimately accused. Since the reason for the attack and how it happened are still completely unclear, Commissariat 11 is currently investigating a general case of attempted homicide.
