Met Gala: The Bridgerton Stars on the red carpet

The worldwide success of “Bridgerton” secured the stars of the Netflix show invitations to the well-known Met Gala in New York. At the charity event in favor of the “Costume Institute” of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the actresses and actors presented themselves in new fashion.

Nicola Coughlan aka Penelope Featherington came about decked out in feathers. Coughlan is considered a fan favorite on “Bridgerton”. The 5’11” actress proved she can outdo her garish Netflix costumes at the Met Gala. Her ball gown, designed by designer Richard Quinn, was made of pink and black satin and featured puffed sleeves, puffed feathers and a train. Coughlan shared a video of the after party on Instagram. “On days like today, I think about the fact that I used to work at Spar,” she wrote.

“Bridgerton” stars Coughlan, Dynevor, Ashley and Page were in attendance

Duchess Hastings went all black: Phoebe Dynevor sported a goth-inspired look. The actress arrived at the Met Gala with significantly darker hair and dramatic eyeliner. She wore a black Louis Vuitton dress with lots of sheer tulle and lace. A skilful contrast to the innocent “Bridgerton” role Daphne.

Simone Ashley is only allowed to show so much skin in “Bridgerton” during the love scenes, but she stayed true to one thing: the corset look. The actress wore a skimpy gold and black Moschino bustier with a black satin skirt. Designer Jeremy Scott chose the matching black cape based on her “Bridgerton” role Kate Sharma. “I’ve often thought about her first scene in Bridgerton, and the mystery of who that woman is, galloping through the woods in that big hooded cape,” he told Vogue.

And he was also seen again at the Met Gala – although Regé-Jean Page aka Duke Hastings said goodbye to the Netflix series after the first season. On the red carpet, he gave the cameras his typical “Bridgerton” look and was classically dressed in a velvet suit by Armani.
