Melanie Liebheit filmed an intern in top restaurants – Munich

Director Melanie Liebheit has filmed top gastronomy from a new perspective with her award-winning documentary “She Chef”. She tells how to shoot in a star kitchen – and what surprising moments there were.

Melanie Liebheit has just been awarded the “FFF Documentary Film Promotion Award” for the film “She Chef” at the Munich Documentary Film Festival. The film by the Munich documentary filmmaker accompanies the 30-year-old Murnau top chef Agnes Karrasch on her internship stations in the star restaurants Vendôme in Bergisch Gladbach, Disfrutar in Barcelona and Koks on the Faroe Islands. It is the story of a young woman who wants to learn as much as possible but is also searching for her place in life. Liebheit, 49, directed together with Gereon Wetzel, 50. Before that, Liebheit studied ethnology at the LMU and in Manchester. You can meet her the day after the award ceremony in the best of moods. It’s great to immerse yourself in other worlds, to be able to stand around somewhere where others never go, she says.
