Megane E-Tech in the test: Renault like never before

Renault has always built smart, cheap and comfortable cars. The technical demands were not quite as high and the quality was rather mixed. For a manufacturer that wrote automotive history with the R4 and R5 and later with Espace and Alpine, the current model range is disappointingly pale and stuffy. This not only applies to the crossover mishmash of Captur, Arkana, Kadjar, Koleos and soon Austral, but also to the aging Zoe and the Twingo Electric developed together with Smart. The expectations for the first ride with the Megane E-Tech were correspondingly restrained.
