Back in Munich: Lucia Lacarra dances in the Prinzregentheater – Munich

It was a shock for the Munich ballet audience when prima ballerina Lucia Lacarra and her husband Marlon Dino announced in 2016 that they were leaving the Bavarian State Ballet. The reason they cited was the upcoming change in management; Igor Zelensky was to replace Ivan Liška as director. The Russian would rebuild the company and establish new pairs of soloists. Zelensky has long been history at the Munich house. The Lacarra, however, is unforgettable. In April 2025 she will return to the State Ballet for a guest performance. This Wednesday, May 22nd, the world star can be seen at a ballet gala in the Prinzregententheater of the Bavaria Ballet Academy, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Dancing alongside Lacarra are Matthew Golding, Iana Salenko and Marian Walter from the Berlin State Ballet and Jinhao Zhang from the Bavarian State Ballet.
