Noussair Mazraoui does not have to fear any consequences from FC Bayern after his pro-Palestine posts. “Noussair Mazraoui will remain in the FC Bayern squad, but is currently out due to an injury he sustained during an international match with the Moroccan national team,” the Munich-based company announced on Friday morning.
Among other things, Mazraoui shared a post on Instagram saying that the “oppressed brothers in Palestine” should “achieve victory” in the conflict with Israel.
“Noussair Mazraoui has credibly assured us that, as a peace-loving person, he resolutely rejects terror and war. He regrets if his posts have caused irritation,” said Bayern’s CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and added: “FC Bayern condemns the attack Hamas in Israel.”
Mazraoui is quoted in the statement as saying that he also condemns “all forms of terrorism and all terrorist organizations.” The Bavarians once again emphasized that they stood “on the side of the Jewish community in Germany and on the side of Israel; nothing justifies the murder of children and families.”
