A 21-year-old beat up a gas station attendant in Bremen-Gröpelingen. The young man was annoyed that he should wear mouth and nose protection. That is what the police said.

According to the information, the young man entered the sales room of the gas station without mouth and nose protection and wanted to pay his gasoline bill. The 67-year-old gas station attendant then drew his attention to the obligation to carry. After a verbal argument, the customer left the room and returned a little later with the mask on. He hit the 67-year-old and kicked the body of the man lying on the ground several times.

The attacker then fled by car. The gas station attendant had to be taken to a hospital by an ambulance for outpatient treatment. The 21-year-old from Bremen returned to the scene a little later and turned himself in to the police. The investigations against him for dangerous physical harm, property damage and theft are ongoing.

The incident is reminiscent of an alleged murder in Rhineland-Palatinate. A customer there shot a young gas station attendant in September because he asked the customer to wear mouth and nose protection. The case caused horror nationwide.
