Commentary: Why more health data needs to become available – Economy

Doctors, receptionists and nursing staff still have to enter a lot of things manually – and often do so twice or three times. This has to end; the healthcare system needs more and better data to serve patients.

Clemens Kill has no time to waste in his everyday work. When patients come to him in the emergency room at Essen University Medical Center with serious injuries, every second can count. He thinks: “We protect data better than our lives.”
