Nevertheless, she kept a low profile and nothing was learned from those around her. After two divorces, it’s understandable that she initially preferred to keep her feelings private.

Even at our meeting last week in Munich’s “Hotel Bayerischer Hof” she only allowed herself to make this remark: “I’m very happy right now.” But there have been rumors of a new love for a long time and it wasn’t just her friends who were surprised that she spent a lot of time in Italy last year. In the foreword to her new book “Optimize your Sugar” she writes how much she enjoys strolling through Milan and how much she loves pasta. Now BUNTE has found out: The reason for her radiance and happy smile is the Italian entrepreneur Marcello Montini (57).

The loving couple probably met through mutual friends who belong to Miami’s highest society. Riccardo Silva (53) is a very rich media man and president of FC Miami, and also an old friend of Marcello Montini from Milan. His wife Tatyana Silva (50) is a close friend of Barbara Becker. Both sit on the board of the renowned “The Bass Museum of Art”. The Silvas have had their own gallery there since donating half a million dollars to the museum in 2017. The Silva couple likes to host charity dinners or lunches for friends in their villa. At one of these noble lunches, Marcello Montini was Barbara Becker’s table host because the friends probably thought it might be a good match. It does – better than any dating app.
It is said that the smart Milanese Montini was immediately fascinated by the beautiful designer and best-selling author and did everything he could to spend as much time as possible with her. The fact that he has owned an apartment in Miami Beach for many years made getting to know each other uncomplicated. Both were single. Montini has been living separately from the mother of his three children (two adult daughters aged 24 and 26, a 14-year-old son) for ten years and Barbara Becker has been living alone in her villa in Miami since 2020.
