A man has been indicted and placed in pre-trial detention for rape, sexual assault on a minor over 15 years old, as well as for kidnapping and forcible confinement, we learned from the Senlis (Oise) prosecutor’s office on Wednesday. The facts allegedly took place on August 2 and 3 in the town of Margny-lès-Compiègne, in Oise, said the prosecutor of Senlis, Loïc Abrial, confirming information from Oise Weekly. The alleged victim is 15 years old, he added.
Placed in pre-trial detention
The man arrested by the police, a 31-year-old Bangladeshi, was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention on Saturday for “rape of a minor over 15 years old”, “sexual assault on a minor over 15 years old” and ” kidnapping or kidnapping to facilitate the commission of a crime or misdemeanor,” according to the prosecutor. The judicial information is open “for one or more rapes”, he said, without further details.
“The investigating judge ordered several expert reports,” added Loïc Abrial, who specified that the investigation, entrusted to the Compiègne police station, is continuing.
