“El mismo sol” – singer Álvaro Soler live in the stern conversation about his first book
As a musician, Álvaro Soler has enjoyed international success. Now the 30-year-old has published his first book. With the star he speaks live at the book fair from 2 p.m.
Born in Barcelona, grew up in Tokyo and now lives in Berlin: musician Álvaro Soler calls many places home. What has always accompanied the 30-year-old is his love for music. At the age of ten he took piano lessons, formed a band with his younger brother and friends as a schoolboy and took part in casting shows. In 2015 Soler had his breakthrough with his first album and the single “El mismo sol”. In the meantime he is not only successful as a singer, but has also appeared in numerous TV shows such as “Sing my Song” or “The Voice Kids”.
He has now published his first book together with the journalist Christine Dohler. It is entitled “El mismo sol – Under the same sun” and deals with topics that are important to Soler. “You know me …. I am not a writer, but I still had the feeling that I wanted to talk openly and in detail about music, culture and homeland. It feels a bit crazy, but now it’s finally time and me can show you a bit more of me, “wrote the singer on his Instagram account in the summer when he announced the book to his followers.
From 2 p.m. Álvaro Soler will be live at the star guest at the book fair. In the talk format “Die 30-Minuten-WG” from star and Penguin Randomhouse he talks to editor Hannes Roß about his music, his life and his book. Other guests today are:

The star broadcasts live from the book fair every day
This is “Die 30-Minuten-WG”: The star and the publishing group Penguin Randomhouse invite 31 authors to “Die 30-Minuten-WG”. We stream the half-hour conversations live from the book fair. Among others, sailor Boris Herrmann and hit icon Roland Kaiser will be there. Other guests of the 30-minute book talks are multiple award-winning authors such as Jenny Erpenbeck, Terézia Mora, Bernhard Aichner and Marc Elsberg or Ingeborg Bachmann Prize winner Nava Ebrahimi.
