More failures in “Let’s Dance”: Ekaterina Leonova and Bastian Bielendorfer have to pause in the second live show. The comedian has a cold. However, it is not about Corona. Moderator Frauke Ludowig got infected.

In the second live show of “Let’s Dance”, the viewers have to adapt to some changes. After the final exit of actor Hardy Krüger Jr. and the absence of professional dancers Malika Dzumaev and Andrzej Cibis due to Corona, another couple will be missing on the floor. Ekaterina Leonova and Bastian Bielendorfer cannot compete because the comedian has a cold. The 37-year-old’s corona test has so far been negative, he said Broadcaster RTL. Leonova is doing well, but she cannot compete on the show without her partner.

Moderator Frauke Ludowig got infected. The 58-year-old regularly moderates an “Exclusive Special” after the live show. “Unfortunately, it’s gotten to me too, the daily corona test was suddenly positive. Unfortunately, I’m only following ‘Let’s Dance’ from bed today,” said Ludowig. Presenter Bella Lesnik steps in for them.

Ekaterina Leonova is supposed to make Bastian Bielendorfer dance

To the delight of many “Let’s Dance” fans, Ekaterina Leonova is back in the current season. The 34-year-old had won the show three years in a row before taking a hiatus from 2020. In season 15 she is supposed to teach comedian and author Bastian Bielendorfer how to dance, which should be a real challenge. After appearing on show one, juror Joachim Llambi judged: “At first I thought: ‘Where’s the problem? Doesn’t he find the gear or is he inhibited?’ I want this to go like Fiffi on chopped meat.” Leonova and Bielendorfer finished eight points behind in last place. The calls from the viewers took the couple one step further.

Bastian Bielendorfer became famous in 2010 by appearing on the quiz show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” famous. There he said that he came from a teacher dynasty and used his father as a telephone joker. He was so offended that his son needed help for 8,000 euros that he hung up after answering the question. Through his appearance, Piper Verlag became aware of Bielendorfer. In 2011 his bestseller, “Teacher’s Child – Lifelong Pausenhof” was published.

Bielendorfer has now published several books, runs two podcasts and appears in various comedy formats. Last year he was part of the Vox show “Showtime of my Life – Stars against Cancer”. “There I was allowed to dance in front of Joachim Llambi – naked. This time I’ll do it dressed,” Bielendorfer said in advance about his “Let’s Dance” participation.
