  • Ukraine denounces Russian strikes “massive” in several cities of the country, including the capital, kyiv. According to the Ukrainian authorities, 54 of the 69 Russian missiles fired “were slaughtered”. Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian presidency announced that around 120 missiles had targeted the country.
  • These strikes left 40% of Kyiv residents without electricity. The big city in the west of the country, Lviv, was 90% deprived of electricityThursday, following these Russian bombardments on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in the middle of winter.
  • The Belarus claimed on Thursday to have shot down a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile near the village of Gorbakha, in the Brest region (south-west), bordering Ukraine. This is the first incident of this type reported by Minsk since the start of the Russian offensive in Ukraine. The Belarusian authorities say they are considering two scenarios: either the missile fell by mistake in Belarus, or it was shot down by the Belarusian anti-aircraft defense. The Ukrainian ambassador to Belarus has been summoned.
  • The deficit of the Ukrainian electricity network has also worsened due to the bombardment of gas infrastructure in eastern Ukraine, announced the operator Ukrenergo, national manager of the electricity transmission network, on Wednesday on Facebook.
  • The head of Russian diplomacy said to himself ” convinced “ that Russia would achieve its goals in Ukraine by dint of ” patience “on condition that ” the four regions [Donetsk, Louhansk, Zaporijia, Kherson] belong to the Russian Federation”asserted Sergei Lavrov, specifying that Moscow had to ” sure “ conquer all of these four territories, which are currently not fully controlled by the Russian army.
