Karin Jost from Haimhausen exhibits photo art at the Dachau Forum – Dachau

Karin Jost, who has been active as an artist and member of the Haimhauser Kulturkreis for years, has been exhibiting photographs on the subject of “change of perspective” with motifs from nature in the rooms of the Dachau Forum since January 24th. Above all, trees, roots and stones inspire the photographer both as a whole and in detail, especially from the point of view of natural transformation. Many of her motifs appear inconspicuous in everyday life and only exist in the moment. By inverting the digital color space, Karin Jost creates a certain alienation of the motif – a fascination for the artist. Pictures are created that partly resemble an optical illusion or have an abstract effect. This invitation to a change of perspective is intended to consciously create associations in the viewer.

The exhibition can be viewed until April 28 during the opening hours of the Dachau Forum, Ludwig-Ganghofer-Straße 4, Dachau, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Monday and Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The current pandemic regulations must be observed.
