With his statement, the 58-year-old alludes to rumors allegedly launched by VfB that Guilavogui would be available on a free transfer in the winter. Schmadtke calls them “specifically disseminated reports” and rumbles: “This jittering really gets on my nerves. We have already filed that with VfB.”
According to the report, VfL Wolfsburg wouldn’t put any obstacles in Guilavogui’s way, but they didn’t want to let the player go to the supposed ideas of VfB. The 32-year-old is still under contract at the Autostadt until the summer of 2023.
