“We regret that the match did not take place and that the security of our players was not good. I had to talk about it because some players are scared. Look at the condition of the bus. The whole side is blown up, even projectiles were thrown over the police cars. We are angry”said the person concerned before concluding by giving rather reassuring news from his coach. “Fabio is doing well, he’s getting better, he’s a strong boy, he’s been well taken care of by the doctors here. I repeat, we did not ask to cancel the match but when we saw the coach, we were all shocked. The window of the bus which was close to Fabio Grosso exploded. Fabio then took a bottle of beer to the head. His injuries come from there… It’s unacceptable”.
