The English-French singer and actress Jane Birkin is dead. She died at the age of 76, the French newspapers report Le Parisien and Le Monde on Sunday. She is said to have recently canceled several concerts for health reasons.
Jane Birkin was born in London in 1946 and moved to France in the late 1960s. In 1969 she recorded the duet “Je t’aime… moi non plus” with her partner Serge Gainsbourg. From the marriage comes the actress Charlotte Gainsbourg.
