First accessory for the iPhone 14 at the IFA – although the smartphone does not yet exist

SBS Mobile is sure what the upcoming iPhone 14 looks like. In any case, the production of the cases is complete.

Apple invites you to the keynote next week – and will probably introduce the next iPhone. That doesn’t stop exhibitors at the IFA from presenting suitable accessories now.

The IFA in Berlin is a trade fair for the future – no question about it. But showing accessories for products that don’t even exist yet is still quite unusual. Because only in the coming week is there any chance that Apple will present the upcoming iPhone – probably model number 14. The first accessories are already available.

Matching cases for four new iPhones

The fact that the official Apple unveiling is in the future does not seem to prevent the Italian manufacturer SBS Mobile from showing suitable cases for the non-existent device. At the fairly large stand there are various models of cases that are intended to protect various iPhones from scratches.

If SBS Mobile has its way, Apple will probably present the following models:

  • iPhone 14
  • iPhone 14 Pro
  • iPhone 14 Max
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max

Visually, the cases reveal no surprise. On the back there is a cut-out for a large camera, SBS Mobile prints two camera lenses on the cases for the basic models, and three for the Pro accessories. So far that agrees with the current rumors about Apple’s new devices.

Was timing the issue?

It’s not uncommon for manufacturers of accessories to be pre-supplied with case dimensions, even by Apple itself – so that a corresponding offering is available soon after the market launch. But usually the finished products are held back for understandable reasons until Apple has presented the new devices.

Admittedly: The timing of a trade fair, where trade visitors often go on a shopping spree with the exhibitors and order goods for shops and online shops, is somewhat difficult in this case. That will probably also be the reason why SBS Mobile has equipped the expensive booth with accessories for previously unknown smartphones. Another chance to present the cases to a large audience won’t come around anytime soon.

“Please leave the booth”

Apple might not like that, though – and it’s very likely that SBS Mobile knows that for sure. Because dem star At the stand at the IFA, you didn’t want to tell anything about the products – on the contrary. When the photo from this article was taken, they were kindly but firmly asked to leave the booth.
