It is often the case that the real meaning takes some time to become apparent. Artists who had been misunderstood during their lifetime would know a thing or two about this if the linear course of time did not thwart their plans. Events which contemporaries may not have noticed at all often only become important far in retrospect. But sometimes, even in the present, one has the feeling that something big is being prepared, like now again in Ebersberg. Here and now it’s about nothing less than the future of local transport.
This was rung in last weekend. There was the day of the open monument, and so that the many scattered monuments could be reached in one day, the organizers had come up with something and borrowed something else for it. They had come up with a shuttle service, for which the Ebersberger Faschingsgesellschaft train was borrowed. He goes by the name Josefine and was very busy at the memorial day, numerous people wanted to be guided through the history of the district. Now the city guides from Ebersberg and Grafing want to include train journeys more often in their program. The next trip is already next weekend, and more are already planned.
Imagine for a moment that the large railway would react just as quickly. Then an express S-Bahn has long been running between Erding, Markt Schwaben and Ebersberg, the branch lines, which were shut down in the car-crazy 60s and 70s, to the places that have grown strongly since then would have long been in operation again and the train connection to Wasserburg would really bring passengers into the Into the city and not just roughly near it. Whereby: The city on the Inn is historically not entirely uninteresting. Maybe you can soon take a trip there with Josefine and maybe that’s just the beginning …
