In Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan, school transport suspended on Wednesday

The roads were already slippery on certain axes in Brittany since the beginning of the week. And the situation should not improve in the next few hours. This Tuesday evening, three Breton departments are thus placed on orange alert due to the risk of snow and ice, namely Ille-et-Vilaine, Morbihan and Côtes-d’Armor. The alert, which concerns thirty other departments in the territory, runs until Wednesday evening.

To avoid chaos on the roads, no school circuit will be provided this Wednesday morning and noon in Ille-et-Vilaine and Morbihan. Disruptions on certain lines are also to be expected in Côtes-d’Armor and to a lesser degree in Finistère.

In Morbihan and Ille-et-Vilaine, the Western zone defense prefecture has also issued an order prohibiting trucks over 7.5 tonnes from overtaking on all axes of the national road network. Their maximum authorized speed is also lowered by 20 km/h.
