The highest court of the UN ordered Israel this Friday to prevent any possible act of “genocide” in Gaza. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) also affirmed that the Jewish state must prevent any possible incitement to “genocide”, issuing a historic decision in a case that attracted worldwide attention.
Israel must take “all measures in its power to prevent and punish direct and public incitement to commit genocide,” declared the ICJ, which sits in The Hague.
Finally, Israel must take “immediate and effective measures to enable the provision of basic services and humanitarian aid that the Palestinians urgently need to address the unfavorable living conditions faced by the Palestinians,” ruled the ICJ .
