Democracy is the opposite of secrecy. It thrives on transparency, it thrives on discussion, it thrives on pros and cons, it thrives on the fact that things that affect everyone can and are discussed by everyone. Sometimes the argument is so big, so long and so loud that it gets on your nerves. But that’s part of it. And what has been annoying for some for a long time is far from over for others. It is all the more astonishing that there are topics that are incredibly important but just don’t make it onto the big stage.
