‘House of the Dragon’ on Sky: We All Want a Dragon – media

In the end, could this even be a parable of the end of patriarchy? Why “House of the Dragon”, one of the most advertised series of the year, should not only appeal to “Game of Thrones” fans.

Dragons are a natural part of the cityscape in King’s Landing. They are only available for the ruling family, but at least in red, black, sometimes green, even purple. Hardly anyone looks up when they fly over the seat of King Viserys I, so you’re used to the fire-breathing critters here. And the royal offspring gets kites just like young people get their first car these days. Be careful when feeding for the first time! And because there has been peace in Westeros for a long time, they seem to be slowly changing from a combat weapon to a status symbol.
