“Barbenheimer” dominates the awards ceremonies leading up to the Oscars. “Openheimer” in particular is becoming a big favorite.

Hollywood’s Actors’ Association (SAG) has given the historical drama “Oppenheimer” and the comedy “Barbie” the most award nominations. Both films each have four chances to win, as the association announced.

Competing with Cillian Murphy (“Oppenheimer”) in the “Best Actor” category are Bradley Cooper (“Maestro”), Colman Domingo (“Rustin”), Paul Giamatti (“The Holdovers”) and Jeffrey Wright (“American Fiction”).

In addition to Margot Robbie (“Barbie”), Annette Bening (“Nyad”), Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”), Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”) and Emma Stone (” Poor Things”) was nominated.

Five films, including “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer,” are vying for the ensemble award for the entire cast in the top category. The SAG Awards (Screen Actors Guild) will be presented for the 30th time on February 24th in Los Angeles. They are seen as harbingers of the Oscars, which are due to take place in mid-March. The SAG winners are often presented with prizes at the Oscars.
