Hohenbrunn – Serious rear-end collision on the A 94 – Munich district

Six slightly injured and one property damage amounting to around 27,000 euros – that is the balance sheet of a serious rear-end collision on Sunday, 1.55 p.m., shortly before the Munich-East motorway junction on the A 94. According to the police, a 75-year-old driver left the Landkreis Wasserburg caused the accident when he turned to the right on his way towards Munich and did not notice that a traffic jam had already formed in both right-hand lanes. He crashed his car against the left rear of a vehicle controlled by a 52-year-old from the Dillingen district and pushed it onto the car of a 60-year-old Erdinger, who survived the accident unscathed. The other two drivers and their four passengers were slightly injured and taken to surrounding hospitals in several ambulances. For medical care of the injured, to rescue the vehicles and to land a rescue helicopter, the lane in the direction of Munich was completely closed for about an hour. In action were forces from the Parsdorf-Hergolding and Poing fire brigades, as well as a large number of rescue workers and an emergency doctor.
