Around two months after her serious accident on the trapeze, Helene Fischer will continue her tour with concerts in Cologne. Despite the incident, the singer does not want to make any cuts in the program.

It was a moment of shock for the fans in the sold-out ZAG Arena in Hanover – and certainly for the artist herself: During her concert, the 38-year-old stopped trying to had to switch positions while floating on the trapeze with her face hanging on the trapeze beam and injured herself. Blood dripped onto her costume from a wound above her nose. Although the singer bravely finished the song, she then disappeared backstage and went to the hospital. The show was cancelled.

Helene Fischer delivers

Now, about two months later, Helene Fischer dares to go back on stage and continues her tour called “Intoxication”. It starts on Friday evening, until September 2nd she will give a total of seven concerts in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, which is sold out with 15,000 spectators each time. At least the first three evenings will be a logistical challenge: Because until Sunday evening, not far from the concert arena in the exhibition halls, “Gamescom” will take place, the world’s largest trade fair for computer and video games, to which more than a quarter of a million visitors are expected. In order to avoid traffic chaos and delays at admission, those responsible recommend that Helene fans arrive early.

The show in Cologne will be the first of a total of 28 concerts for Fischer. The tour continues with performances in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Anyone who feared that the singer of hits like “Atemlos” and “Herzbeben” would take it easy after the incident in Hanover should be taught better tonight in Cologne: “The concert will be in full – as before – from in Cologne on August 25. Conceptual changes are not to be expected,” quotes “T-Online” a statement by the concert organizer to the “Bild” newspaper.
